Germany will transfer Patriot PAC-2 interceptor missiles to Ukraine from German armed forces stocks, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) on September 8, 2026. He did not give a quantity or a delivery schedule.

The session was the 36th since the format was established at Ramstein Air Base on April 26, 2022, and was held by video conference under German and British co-chairmanship. Germany and the United Kingdom took over the chair from the United States in April 2025.

Pistorius tied the decision to preparing Ukraine for winter and asked other participants to review their own inventories.
